In

to do a book review on any book we want. Then we have spelling tests, There are
three groups, Sheep, Cows and Chickens. I’m in the chicken group.

French Class in Room 12 and 14
French Class
In French we are
currently doing objects and rooms around the school and recently doing French
conversations. In our current unit we are playing games doing word searches,
written work and reading and translating books. Our current project is to
interview a teacher and take a picture of them and their room. After every one
is done we will put it into a book. For this task we were put in partners. In
our conversation unit we had to create a conversation and have a conversation
with Miss. Pattie to complete the unit. Most of us used the French English
dictionary and occasionally asked for help. I think most of us found the
conversation unit difficult at the start and found it easier at the end.

Multiplication
Multiplication
In math we are doing long division and
recently two and three digit multiplication. Miss. Pattie started us off easy in
multiplication with arrays, then expanded, then almost the way our parents
learned, just a little bit easier. But we were still adding right to left we
just wrote it out. Now that we are into long division it is easier than most of
us thought. Miss. Pattie broke it into steps so now it is just subtraction. She
also taught us that multiplication could help us with our division. I think
most of us found multiplication easier. We hope Miss. Pattie makes our other
math this easy to understand.

Theme Studies in Room 12 - First Peoples of Canada
Theme Studies in Room 12 - First Peoples of Canada
In theme this term we have been
learning all about the first peoples of Canada. We mixed our smarts and
knowledge together. A lot of our smarts were art or kinesthetic so we made a
diorama about what we know. This was difficult for some of us and easier for
others. At the start of term we were working in our table groups doing
aboriginal games making murals and doing role-plays of legends. For the second
part of the term we had six individual projects that could be done any way we
wanted whether it was on the computer or loose leaf or anything of the above. I
think the we enjoyed the second part more because it was easier than group work.
I think most of us enjoyed this term and would like to do something similar
next term.
